I am an utter failure at this diet business. You would think that I would be good at being on a diet considering I was raised in a household where we were all on permanent diet status.
I have the will-power to generally resist bad foods, but this diet is proving difficult for me. The past week I have faithfully drank at least 2 cups of green tea everyday, but I have found that 1) green tea gets extremely boring after 4 days straight and 2) I would use the green tea as an excuse to food-splurge in other ways, such as having a cup of green tea with my chicken mcnuggets at lunch and feeling good about it.
Whatever effects the green tea has had are little to none so far. I did check out my apartment's gym, but was sadly disappointed. The gym was the size of a closet, had exactly 5 machines (of which one was in disrepair) and while the room was bright and clean, this state was probably due to the fact that one wall was entirely made of window, making me feel distinctly like a hamster running on her wheel. Whee! Then this last weekend I decided to go for Chinese buffet. Ugh.
Progress: disastrous
Pounds lost: a likely net gain due to excess tea water and sweet & sour pork
Next step: Go to gym. Buy scale??
