In the second edition of How Do You Wear It? we discuss this chic sateen blazer by Pencey as seen on shopbop. Blazers are one of my favourite things because they are so versatile and timeless. Everyone looks good in a blazer, especially women, as the hourglass cut of a blazer accentuates a woman's classic curves. This particular one comes in black or white and in a luxurious material that elevates this blazer above just plain ordinary. Lisa over at Solo Lisa Y Nada Mas showcases her vision of this blazer in white. So how would I wear it? For this smooth blazer, I was inspired by thoughts of warm summer nights and summer loves. Blazers are usually shown with something quirky or rock-chic, but I wanted to see a blazer used in a softer manner. Check out the resulting ensemble below:

The key to this feminine look is of course the dress. Nothing says womanly like a ruffled tiered summer dress like this one by Juicy Couture. Also, the rich colour of this dress will pick up on your glowing tanned skin.
Though these heels look pretty uncomfortable, they definitely are an essential anchor of this outfit. The thick straps of these sandals, as opposed to thin ones, keep this outfit from looking too delicate and echo the strong masculine cut of the blazer. These gorgeous heels are by Pour la Victoire.
Finally, finish the look off by loading on the accessories. I took a cue from Gossip Girl and put in layers of necklaces to draw the eyes to the face. Butterfly earrings add a touch of softness, and the gold ring gives the outfit a cool artistic feel.
